Easter Fun

Two Easter egg hunts, two different towns, two days of fun!

Easter was alot of fun this year. The girls had an egg hunt with their cousins Mason and Jackson in Galveston on Saturday before we left to come home. Ava really figured out quickly that there was candy inside the eggs. She can even say "candy" so now I'm really in trouble.

On Sunday we had Easter lunch with Ashley's family at his cousin Justin and Brandi's house. The kid's all got to hunt eggs in the back yard and had a great time playing together.

Let me just say that getting this group photo of the kid's at each gathering is getting harder instead of easier. One would think the older they get the easier it should be but that seems to be opposite of what happens.

Galveston - One quick trip

We went to Galveston for 2 quick fun filled days so that we could see Parker while he was out on Spring Break. Parker is my 17 year old nephew. It was so great to get to see him since my only communication with him is through letters.

We went to the Rainforest exhibit at Moody Gardens. Where we got to see lots of birds, fish, and snakes.

The girls even got to touch a snake. Don't have a heart attack Grammy this wasn't the one that liked to bite.

We spent the morning playing on the beach. Ava did not like the sand at first. It took a good 45 minutes before she would let us put her back down on it. She just looked at it from up high trying to figure out what it was and why it felt odd.

Sunny and 76 vs. Snow and 32

The weather in Texas speaks for itself since one day we are out back playing in shorts and the next we are all bundled up because it is snowing.
What else can you say?

Sunny and 80 degrees:

These are pictures of our 2nd snowfall. We didn't get pictures of the first snow and it was so thick that you couldn't see the roof or the grass.

Ava fell face first in the snow and decided after that she didn't like all that cold white stuff that was everywhere.

Pictures & Praises

Thought we should share a few pictures to end out the month of February and start the month of March. We also praise God this month. Ava was diagnosed when she was 2 1/2 months old with Vesicoureteral Reflux also known as kidney reflux. We went in for her follow up VCUG and found out that this has totally corrected itself. I think I praise the fact that she no longer has to take a nightly dose of antibiotics the most. She was at the point where she would just spit it back out on the floor. I hated giving her this medicine anyway since there is some fairly recent history with this medication. My little sister Sara took these same antibiotics and ended up in the hospital on life support with a 40% chance of survival. She had become septic from having an allergic reaction to this antibiotic.

Grace: I think the Big "5" sums it all up.

Grace completed her sticker chart for following the family rules and was rewarded with a trip to Libby Lu. She was so excited because she wanted to be Hannah Montana.
