To the Playground

We were finally able to get out of the house for a while and walk down to the neighborhood playground for some playtime. Ava thinks that she is the same size or bigger than Grace so she tries everything.

End of Upward Cheerleading Season

Saturday was Grace's last basketball game to cheer at and Sunday night was the awards ceremony at church. The cheerleaders had been practicing a dance to perform on Awards night. They did a GREAT job.

Grace's Valentines Party

Grace had her Valentine's Day party at school today. The kids made a craft, ate a 2nd lunch, and got to trade their V-Day cards. I say 2nd lunch b/c the kids get to eat veggies w/dip, fruit w/dip, brownies, cupcakes, cookies, and more at the party. And this was after a pizza party for lunch.

I was lucky to have my dad take me to Addison to have a farewell and Good Luck lunch for Bruce who works in my department at work. Bruce is leaving for his 2nd deployment to Irag in a week. He will have a blog up and running soon to journal his days there. Once he does I will post it on here.

I Love Hairbows! (Look Nicole this is for you)

I love these new Bows to match the new Gymboree line Daisy Days. It took me forever to make these because of my hand but I wasn't giving up.

Cole- These are pigtail bows. Two on one head! Isn't that GREAT!

American Girl Store

On Sunday we took Grace & Ava along with Kit & Bitty Baby to the American Girl Store in Dallas. The girls received Gift Cards at Christmas and Grace received birthday money specifically for here. Grace has been to the store once before just to walk around and look and Ava had never been. They were so excited. We ate lunch in the Bistro and even got to make a craft (Kit's tresure box)to take home. Grace chose to spend all of her money and buy Chrissa who is the American Girl for 2009. If you haven't seen the movie I highly recommend it and the Kit Kittredge movie. Ava picked out a Picnic set and a Backpack set for her Bitty Baby. It was a fun Day for all!

Very rarely do I get a picture of Ava looking at me and as you can see she refused.

Grace invited Kit's friend Ruthie to eat lunch with us.

Ava invited a "Big Girl Baby" to eat with her and Bitty Baby.

100th Day of School

Today was the 100th day of school for Grace. She was so excited about it because they were making a fun snack for the afternoon.

Hairbows & Fabric

A while back a friend gave me instructions on how to make hairbows. It took a few tries and some changes to figure out what works for me but I have really enjoyed the end result. I can't wait until I have two working hands again so that I can make some more. I also bought this really cute fabric a couple of weeks ago when my MIL took me to Hobby Lobby. I have some great ideas for it once I can sew again.

Grace's 6th B-Day Party

I went the easy route this year for Grace's birthday party and had it at Chuck E Cheese. Grace was really excited because she has always mentioned having a party here but I haven't ever let her. (Not to be a mean mom but I just like using my creative side to plan parties). This was alot easier since I can't do much because of my arm. The kids had a blast though and that's all that mattered.
