Ballerina Ava

Ava has asked for a few months to take ballet. Knowing Ava this is kind of funny because she is my shy keep to herself child who doesn't talk to or look at other people unless she knows them well. I went ahead and signed her up for a ballet class through our Parks and Rec department. The teacher is from a local ballet studio. After the first 3 classes (because mommy found herself being a ballerina also) Ava finally decided to participate on her own. She loves going to class now.

Bridging: In the Oven a Daisy out comes a Brownie

Tonight Grace bridged from a Daisy to a Brownie. It was a really cute ceremony where the girls talked about mixing up everything they have learned and how when it's all baked they come out a Brownie. They received their pins and then enjoyed snacks of what else but Brownies.

Grace's 7th Birthday Party

We celebrated Grace's 7th birthday with a party at ASI Gymnastics. It was a fun mix of friends we have known since we were 3 months and new friends since Kindergarten. The kids played, ate double chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling, and got a "G" cookie for their party favor.

Happy 7th Birthday Grace

Grace-

Today you are 7 years old. You were born 8 weeks early at 3lbs. 14oz. we worried that it would have slowed you down. Not you Grace, you haven't stopped skipping and jumping at all. You are so sweet, loving, spirited, creative, bouncy, funny, and so much more! You keep us laughing as long as we remember to always keep our sense of humor. God has special plans for you we can't wait to see what they are. We love you very much and are enjoying watching you grow each and every day. We love you!

Love,
mommy and daddy

Tonight we went to eat at your favorite restaurant ever! Kyoto. You opened the presents that you haven't already worn this week. They sang to you in japanese and english and you loved getting pretty painted chopsticks. We know your new school teacher set will keep you very busy. We just hope that we can find some extra students for you so we don't get in trouble and get sent to the Principal's office.

She eats an entire meal with chopsticks

Ava eats her entire meal with chopsticks. Well not the soup but the edamame's, steak, rice, and noodles. The noodles are the funniest because she has to pick them up and eat them one at a time. It is really cute to watch her. She never gets frustrated at all.

Welcome 2010

The decorations are put away, the toys are organized, the house is all clean and we are officially ready to start the New Year.
Usually we take the kids to their favorite restaurant for an early dinner and then come home and play. This year we were suppose to head over to our friends house for the night but unfortunately no one in our house was feeling too well so there was no dinner out and no fun with friends.
The girls got to go eat at their favorite restaurant, Kyoto, a few days later to ring in teh New Year.
